Do you remember these shows?

Let's Get Random!

Oh how I miss my dear Junior Total Girl team!  I miss...

  • Czarina, our Junior Editor-in-Chief
  • Sel, our Junior Managing Editor
  • Hannah, our Junior Art Director
  • Ana, our Junior Fashion and Beauty Editor
I miss them like crazy!  We haven't had a group reunion ever since.  It was always Hannah and I who got to meet.  (The perks of being home schooled, haha!)

In this year's February issue of Total Girl magazine, the search for the Junior TG Team pages are back.  I can't wait for summer so I can meet Batch 2 of the Junior TG Team 2011!

Here's a sample of of a picture
done from Poladroid. Isn't it cool?

So anyway, I downloaded this really cool app for my laptop.  It's called Poladroid.  You drag your pictures to the camera, and out comes a Polaroid version of it! (Though the Polaroid picture of the Junior TG Team Batch 2 above was done on Photoshop) I think this app is genius.  Hihi!

Oh! And do you notice that I have a new blog banner/header?  Haha.  I finally found out how to use the clipping mask tool in Photoshop!  Hooray!  *dances*

Speaking of dancing,  my current fave movies are Step Up 2 & 3.  Moose (played by Adam G. Sevani) is so awesome!  I want a best friend like Moose one day.  One that will dress up as Ashley Olsen while I dress up as Mary-Kate.  Heehee! (Fangirl, much?)
Meanwhile on Tumblr, I am reblogging Disney stuff.  Oh how I miss the old Disney films!  (Especially The Little Mermaid, no surprise there.  LOL) I also miss the good Disney shows like Phil of the Future and Lizzie McGuire.  Shows that didn't have anything related to boyfriends, kissing and stuff like that. *sigh* Bring the old Disney back!

This has been a really random post! (And a very long one, if I say so myself. Haha!) To the next trip of randomness!

Savvy by Ingrid Law

My rating: ★★★★★

Summary:
Mibs Beaumont can't wait to turn thirteen, the age when  all Beaumonts discover their supernatural power - their savvy.  But when Poppa is hurt in a terrible accident, Mibs needs more than just her savvy.  It will take new friends, a strong family and an extraordinary adventure to set things right.

What I Like:
The story is easy to relate to.  I also love the relationship Mibs has with her family.  They practically help each other in everything!  What I like the most is that the book encourages us to find our own savvy - the one quality that is unique about us!

What I Don't Like:
There's nothing not to like about this book!  It's a very encouraging and inspiring book, and I love everything about it!

My Comments:
After I read the last sentence of this book, it got me thinking.  What's my savvy?  It'll probably be my art or my hyperness.  How about you?  What's your savvy?

Fudge-A-Mania by Judy Blume

My rating: ★★★★★

Summary:
Peter Hatcher can't survive living with his younger brother Fudge.  Fudge has big plans on marrying Peter's sworn enemy, Sheila Tubman.  That was already enough to ruin Peter's summer.  But when his parents decide to rent a summer house next to Sheila "the Cootie Queen's" house,  Peter will be trapped with Fudge and Sheila for three whole weeks!

What I Like:
I love how Judy Blume describes Peter's point of view.  I can easily relate to it because I know how it feels to have a younger sibling.  The book is really funny too!  I loved reading about Fudge's crazy antics.

What I Don't Like:
Sheila.  For some reason, her character does not appeal to me.  She's so annoying and is such a show off!  No wonder she's Peter's worst enemy!

My Comments:
This book is a great read if you're down and want to laugh.  It's a thin book, so you can read it over and over again.

Sketchysketch

Hello again everyone! My apologies for the lack of updates.  Haven't had a lot of time to write.

So anyway, here's a drawing I did a while ago.  It's a french-ish inspired one.  I was originally going to let the let her wear a beret, but I decided on a ribbon, to make it simpler.

Recently, I've been looking at art blogs on Tumblr.  I have so much inspiration right now! Hooray for art!

I realized I'd rather go to an art exhibit than the Taylor Swift concert.  It'll be more worth it since the whole family will be able to enjoy. Heehee!

I'll just sum up the good things that have happened yesterday and today:
  • I watched the Philippines vs. Mongolia football game yesterday.  The Philippines won!  Azkals for the win!
  • My mom, sister & I made a cake today.
  • My new art inspirations are: Nellie Ryan & Rose Wong
  • I'm working on a latch project.  I'm making a rug with a giraffe design.
  • I've been wanting to paint with watercolor, but I don't have the time.
I should be drawing by now, people.  Later!
